Slacker!

I've been slacking on updating huge! I'll quickly answer MacGirl25's question: Yes I'm back to work.. with extra hours to boot.

I'm back to working out on a regular basis with my trainer. That week off set me back a bit. Everything we did felt 100 times harder then usual. Thankfully it didn't take too long to bounce back.

I plan to go to the gym today but I have so much to do it seems. I HAVE to clean my room & do laundry. I'm starting to wear clothes I haven't in ages because I'm running out of clean stuff! And I keep stubbing my toes in my room ahaha I also have to update & print a few copies of my resume. I plan to get a second job again so I can have extra income. I want to save as much as possible. It's summer so people will be out and it'll be a great time to work. I'll be applying at The Keg (I think it's a Canadian chain). It's a steak house so my average cheques should be okay. And friends assure me I'll make minimum $100 a night which is fine by me. My plan is to save everything and live a cash life with my tip money. Where I really want to work is Joey's. They're opening a new one at the mall near me but it doesn't open until November. So I'll have to suck it up for now at The Keg. Taking on a second job may require me to cancel my sessions with my trainer because I want to work every minute I can.

Last night I was at an old restaurant I worked at for an engagement celebration, and one of the managers told me I could have my job back if I wanted...... I don't know if I could go back a third time. I think if I don't get the job at The Keg I'll just go back there because I'll require zero training.

I've been trying to drink crazy amounts of water lately, and I've noticed some changes. I feel more energized and less sluggish. I am planning on writing a post about how to boost your water in take. I'm just experimenting right now to see what works best.

That's all I'm going to write for now. I'm going to tackle some of my duties!

Feelin' BETTER!

Scored a week off work... spent it in bed with a disgusting cold. Added bonus: My boyfriend treated me like a leper because he leaves for Vegas in a few days & doesn't want to get sick (understandable).

I really was looking forward to working out like a monster this week but my body/immune system had other plans. At least I kept plenty hydrated and ate sorta healthy.

This weekend was jam packed with fun times! Good thing I had the week to rest up. Friday night my boyfriend and I tried this new pub/bar in town called 'The Kings Landing'. It was walking distance from his house so we walked over and were pleasantly surprised. Great menu & great staff! So fun to talk and chat with. We'll be going back there for sure! Hope it does well. We were able to get drunk and stagger home together. (Soooo romantic! I know you're jealous!)

On Saturday we slept in a bit and had some errands to run. Dentist & the mall. All was well until we got to the mall.. All of a sudden my illness came back in like full swing and I just wanted to get home asap! I got soo hott & irritable. When we got home I took a nap which did me a universe of good because later that night we were going clubbing for boyfriends brothers girlfriend (Get that?!). It was her 19th birthdaaay! I had probably the most fun I've had at a club. Got nice & drunk and danced the night away with my boyfriend.

Sunday we woke up and decided to go to a Jays game!!! (baseball game) Took the bus downtown and sat in the sun. In Toronto our games are held at the Rogers Centre which has a retractable roof (if that's the proper name for it) so it opens and closes. On gorgeous days they open it and you can bask in sunshine as you cheer on! I think we're the only city that has something like that for baseball games. This September I'm going to Pittsburgh for a Pirates AND Steelers game. I am excited to experience a real baseball park.

I think that's about all that happened this weekend. I destroyed my body with all that drinking so this week it'll have to be BEASTMODE! I can wear my new Lulu Lemon pants too!

Feelin' Ill

I woke up this morning with a sore throat and my ears popping. I really don't need a cold right now! I'm off this week & I wanted it to be a very productive week exercise wise. I don't want it to be spent in bed nursing a cold :( I'm going to take some Cold-FX and see if it fights everything off before it begins.

I think I need to up my water in take. Lately I've been having SERIOUSLY painful stomach pains. When I told my trainer (thinking I pulled something) she told me it might be due to dehydration. Which may be possible because with working out more, I'm sweating more therefore I need to replenish it. Also in order for muscles to grow they need water.

I'm going to go update my music for my workout today! Have a fabulous day!!!!!

Lazy Sundays

Today has been a very laid back day. This morning my boyfriend and I went and met our friends new baby girl :) She's only a month old and soo tiny! Absolutely gorgeous! I tried my best to eat healthy while there but of course when the junk food came out it was hard to hold back temptation.

After we said our goodbyes the boyfriend and I went home and watched a few episodes of our current favorite show. We LOVE Sons of Anarchy but since we finished all the seasons we've moved to Breaking Bad. Currently in season 3 and it's getting pretty good!

I'm dying to go to the gym.. Keep my 6 day streak going. I doubt Ill make it because we're going to go watch a movie tonight and ill be much too tired afterwards. 

Anyways time to go! Have a fabulous night, hope you've had a great weekend.

I'm really loving the idea of a group of people with a common goal: To live a healthy lifestyle & workout to be fit. 

I had a great late night workout tonight & now that I'm all showered up, hair blown dry, & snuggled in bed I'm so happy and satisfied. I think I've been to the gym 6 days in a row now. Definitely a record for my lazy ass!!

B.O.R.E.D.

I didn't make it to hot yoga yesterday. I decided I'd done enough for that day exercise wise, and I wanted to have more time to hang out with my boyfriend. We ended up going for dessert and talked about our future house and everything we should be doing to prepare. It makes my tummy churn when we talk about it because where we want to live we'll need $100k as a down payment... That's a hell of a lot to save up.

So I ended up sleeping over at my boyfriends, which I usually do on weekends and for some crazy reason I had several nightmares! I kept waking up and shaking my boyfriend awake. I was convinced someone was in the house & it was going to burn down.When I told my boss about my nightmares she told me it has to be linked to something in my life... could be the stress of saving for a house? I barely got any sleep so today I am EXHAUSTED to say the least. I had a hard time waking up at 7:45am to go to work.

I still want to go to the gym today. I might just go do cardio. That will burn whatever energy I have left and put me to sleep like a baby. (Hopefully) It should be dead there as well because everyone's out partying it up. *sigh*

Productive Morning ♥

I didn't get a chance to update yesterday but I had a great workout! I ran for about 30 minutes (along side my adorable boyfriend) and then did some ab stuff. Definitely made up for my screwed up workout the day before.

This is a crazy fitness day for me! This morning I went for a 2 hour walk with my girlfriend Antonietta. She calculated that we walked about 5kms. We did that in the blistering heat.. And where we are we have crazy humidity! So it was like 37 degrees celsius and added smog alert. If you don't know how that feels it feels like very thick air. about 3 quarters of the way through our walk we passed a lovely water park. These seem to be popping up everywhere. They're regular parks with "water pads" and its a bunch of different types of sprinklers and such. We decided to get a little bit of a soak to cool down. So we read the sign & tried to turn the sprinklers on. We couldn't figure it out! We poke what we thought were buttons... hit the top of this one useless looking pole but nothing. Just as we were about to give up a mom with her 2 babies came along as we asked her if perhaps the town turns it on only at certain times. SO she pulls her 2 year old child out of the stroller and tells him to turn the water on for us... so we watch this little munchkin walk over... place his hand on top of that useless looking pole.. and bam! Waters on!

We soaked ourselves and continued on our trek home. That water may have saved our lives... it cooled us right down. Crazy part is we even went at 8am so we could avoid the extreme heat. We made it home and I stretched as best as I could for my training session.

Today... was LEG DAY! It was the hardest leg day I've ever experienced. I did a 6 exercise circuit 2 times, and then we did a 3 exercise ab workout twice as well.

I'm prepping all my yoga gear because I wanted to do a hot yoga class tonight. I'll have to see how my legs feel after work today, but I'd really love to sweat out the water I'm retaining due to my monthly visitor.
